Over the long weekend we packed up and headed to Ohio. We needed to get away for a bit and we enjoyed getting to relax. We stayed with my sister and my parents were also up there visiting her. It made for a cozy weekend in her 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo.

Here's a few highlights from our weekend.

Chocolate Cafe where they had more than chocolate
They had yummy wraps!

We sat by the pool

We went to a Columbus Crew soccer game

Giraffe on the back of a bike

Awesome book store we spent 2 hours in

Bridge between Kentucky and Ohio

We also spent 2 hours here

I will be updating later with pictures from my real camera....stay tuned!

Everyday beauty

Things have been going a mile a minute around here so it's nice to be able to stop and snap a few shots every now and then.

Yesterday was officially the last day of going to the preschool until summer camp starts in June. It feels good to have officially started summer.

At our school we have a parent committee that gives us a teacher appreciation lunch every year and every year it never fails to be amazing. We get to visit a part of the church campus we don't normally get to, the Cheek House. Apparently the church property used to be owned by the Cheek's and their original house is still standing and in working condition to house our appreciation lunch every year. It.Is.Beautiful. (and a bit creepy). It is rumored to be haunted, good thing we have an appreciation lunch and not dinner!

This was the view down one of the hallways. My favorite part is the shadow being cast by the chair.

We visit this fish "pond" with our kids often. This beautiful new pot was a great addition.

I'm always on the look out for beautiful sky pictures!

Last night Robbie and I got to take advantage of one of my end-of-the-year teacher gifts.

How about the last week of school when Jess was dead set on being on time to work....

She beat me.
Happy summer!

Art Show

Every year at my preschool we have an end of the year hoorah and call it an art show. This year was so adorable. The "big kids" (3 and up) got to do a visual version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and sing a special song we all learned in music. It.Was.Great.

We also had a silent auction going on with proceeds benefitting our scholarship fund. There were some awesome products!

We also had some amazing art on display for the parents, children, teachers, and miscellaneous family members to enjoy.

All in all it was a very successful night.

The year is winding down, the kids are winding up, and the reality of the kids moving up to another class with other teachers is setting in. I had half of my kiddos last year and was so lucky to follow them up this year. I will miss all  most, eh I'll give it to em....I'll miss them all.

1 more day to spend with each class of sweet little ducklings.

1 more day.
