First Friend

We have really enjoyed getting to know our neighbors Rod and Amy. Having babies 4 days apart made us fast friends! I love snagging photos of them whenever we can.

Thank you Amy for these precious pictures!

17/52

Trying out my 50 mm lens again. I was disappointed with it this winter but I'm hoping it was because of poor lighting. Now we have gorgeous windows letting in more light and I'm learning to go to the light instead.

Exhibit A plus....

This one is taken with my normal lens. Sharp image throughout.
I really need to start dressing him first thing in the morning. I promise he wears clothes, not always jammies.

Happy Easter from the Wilsons!

Liam's Nikki and Uncle Ryan came to church with us this morning. :)

8 months old

I can't believe it. He's already 8 months old.

If 90% of the photo isn't blurry, I consider it a keeper. These monthly photos are getting trickier!

Exhibit A
Liam is wearing size 4 diapers and 12 month clothes. He's almost lost all of his baby hair except for a patch on the top of his head, his blonde has arrived! He loves having his pacifier, hates having shirts go on over his head, goes after everything he's not supposed to have, and is so easy going.

It was beautiful today. We spent a lot of it outside!

A perfect sunscreen/drool blend

Looks like teeth but still just gums.

I had Good Friday off from babysitting so we got to have doughnut day with Grandpa. Fridays have been the usual day, as I'm working now we'll have to see about moving doughnut day.

I wish this was just one second earlier. This face was hilarious. He was so proud of himself for grabbing and moving the lamp.

16/52 plus Citrus Lane

We are quickly approaching 8 months. Yes, 8 months. It's crazy how time flies. I want to remember it all. Down to the smallest moment of how it made me feel when he snuggled into my shoulder or smiled at me from his crib when I gave him his paci for the umteenth time that night. All of it. The small and mundane to big momentous times like crawling and words. Weekly digital photos help, mini daily scribblings in a journal is where I'm heading.

Liam, 7 months and 29 days old.

Likes anything black he thinks he's not supposed to have.

Loves the blinds pulls.

Going after the black strap from my camera.

Our April Citrus Lane box arrived today. It's a good one!

We got a tugboat that can be used as a pitcher for rinsing baby's freshly shampoo'd head, Mrs. Meyer's dish soap (LOVE their products), 4 snack bowls, and an amazing book about colors. The illustrations are beautiful; this book will be a favorite of mine Liam's. We will definitely be on the look out for more Charley Harper books!

15/52

Somehow I missed a week so I'm playing catch up.

Lucky you.

14/52

This boy is growing....too fast. I see it in photos. I see it when I pick him up from the nursery at church and he's not crying anymore. He's adjusting to this life as he knows it and it's turning out to be really great. He's the best first baby we could have had.

Simply Saturday

This was our yesterday.

Robbie and Mike added mulch around the gardens. It.Smells.Amazing. No really, it's wood chips and smells like a school playground.

The windows! Still needing to paint the trim but hey, they're in and they are amazing! Thank you again dad!

Dog toy staring creepily courtesy of Liam's Nicki (Margie).
Teenaged boys playing ultimate frisbee in the street courtesy of our neighbors.

Liam's Nicki and uncle Ryan.

Basically the same picture but look at that adorable head tilt. Too cute.

Liam has no interest in crawling but loves to stand up. He makes the best proud-of-myself face and makes sure we notice.

We had a wonderfully successful and fun Saturday, thank you Abbotts!
