December Daily 19 and 20

I guess skipping a day is my new thing. Whoops.

I am enjoying getting Christmas cards in the mail! Our mantle is all holiday-y.

Yesterday was Liam's 4 month check up at the doctor. He got 2 shots and we signed up for a respiratory study with Vanderbilt University.

By the way, cutest wrapping paper ever Karen! Thank you for Liam's Hanna Andersson goodies!

Guess who had rice cereal for the first time today! Yup. No surprise, he got it everywhere.

As for his four month picture, he's teaching me to just go with it.

Also Hobby Lobby has great mirrors.

Who remembers this?!

December Daily 18

I feel like I have failed you today as I took not a single picture on my camera. The absolute only picture I took was of the sunset as I was on a walk with my neighbor. It was a beauty alright!

Oh and I took a video of the back of Liam's head as he had JUST ROLLED OVER!!! He did it twice actually, then nothing, just lay there squawking like the baby bird that we have been calling him. Which is still pretty cute in my opinion.

We also got our first box from Citrus Lane today! They have monthly boxes with 4-5 items tailored to your baby's age and gender. Super cool idea and takes the guesswork out of shopping for the little things your baby needs for their age and stage. We got an ornament kit (handprint or footprint), a frog lovey, great smelling natural ingredient lotion, and an awesome wooden rattle.

Not my best work but you get the idea. Ew I hate photos with a flash.
Also kind of loving the flat stomach there-thanks stomach bug!
I'll keep trying to get the sneaky baby on camera rolling over. I would have thought it was a fluke had he not done it twice in a row!

One week till Christmas. Are you ready to celebrate the reason for the season?

December Daily 16 and 17

I'm bundling these together as one day was sub-par and I only got one picture due to the stomach bug I had today. Yuck. I had a wonderful husband who stayed home from work this morning to ensure I was strong enough to be with Liam. We spent about 90% of the day in bed today, plus jammies, and I loved it. I'm thinking about going to bed after this too....it's 7 pm.

I did sneak in a photo of the baby using his hands! This is his newest trick and he's so proud of himself.

Yesterday was pretty successful as well. After his round of personal training from Aunt-E he started grabbing the toys on his bouncer. Proud momma.

I snuck in a cute sleeping pic as the sun was so gorgeous on Monday.

He loves to have his face covered. Don't worry, the blankets are breathable.
Oh one of my favorite sights ever is the bookmark on top of the book I just finished.

Mornings come early around here and Liam has been waking up around sunrise or just before which makes for very cool Christmas tree light shadows.

I'm hoping tomorrow brings healthier adventures our way!

December Daily 15

Liam was presented with his first Christmas ornament today at my parents' church. It was his first time in church and he did very well! We were pleasantly surprised. We crossed another new bridge as parents and we loved the results!

Grams sang in the choir and Grandpa played handbells.

Liam got to spend time with his Aunt-E tonight. She couldn't help but be his personal trainer a bit as well. By "personal trainer" I mean she just played with him and tempted his eyes away from the football game with toys and a smiling face. It worked.

For Christmas I love to hear families sticking to "want, need, wear, read" for their kid's presents. I guess my recent trip to McKay Used Books could be considered part of his "read" portion of our small Christmas.

10 days till Christmas....tick tock....

December Daily 14

Today I did not take a single picture on my dslr. All of these photos were taken with my iPhone.

I love seeing Liam from different angles and I caught an angle today without chubby cheeks that simply aged Liam.

He's so cute, I could just eat him up!

Erin and I went to McKay Used Books today and found this little gem right inside.

I was shopping for books for Liam as well as books for a friend who is in the market for American Girl doll books, specifically Molly doll. This made me happily reminisce about my childhood days with my Molly doll and I loved looking through the pictures in the book. I can't wait to share my dolls with my girl someday...hopefully! I just don't think Liam will be that into them.

We paid a visit to Grams and Grandpa's house today and Liam loved the colorful lights on their tree. I think he really enjoyed looking at the Hot Wheel ornaments, right Grams? ;)

We went to an engagement surprise party tonight for one of Robbie's old golfers and we had so much fun. Young love is so sweet and precious. There are certain moments in time I wish I could capture in more than just memory to use at will and the day I met my husband would be one of them. If only....

December Daily 13

We had a pretty tame day today. It started with a nice morning full of toys and I introduced Liam to stuffed animals. He naturally loved them as they do not hit as hard on the lip as they enter the mouth.

 Tiny dinosaur foot peeking out!

We had some cool frost patterns on our window this morning.

Winter means time with dad during the day for Liam and we are loving it!

Tonight was the annual Christmas dinner at Trevecca and we got to go just the two of us thanks to Liam's Nikki! We had a great time and I am realizing how important it is for us to connect as adults outside of our comfy home. We need to have conversation and be able to just be together.

My how so much has changed in one year....! We bought a house, I finished my masters program at Trevecca, we had a baby, I've gained some major length on my hair since shaving it in June of 2012, we are living on one income. We are living with more in so many ways and yet find ourselves wanting so much less. Funny how babies change you in an instant.

December Daily 12

This will be baby's first Christmas and we are so very excited. Even skinny Santa says so.

Target had an easy customer in me today. They made these super cute elf diapers that we simply had to try. Somehow it was the cheapest pack of diapers they had!

The sunset was beautiful tonight. I have been loving all the sunshine lately. It is so warm and uplifting!

I gave Liam a chance to look at the Christmas tree lights up close tonight. He was pretty into it.

Then he found his hand....

Then he found the tv.....

The look of wonder in his sweet baby eyes will never stop being beautiful.
