December Daily 2

Today felt good. We only went to Babies R Us and Kroger but after being out of town for 6 days being home simply feels good. We had an early start, just as I expected. We did get to spend a little piece of time together this morning as a family of 3.

I love our sweet family of hands on a jammied baby!

As we were sitting in the living room listening to Christmas music, I finally figured out how to take video on my dslr; about time! I love Mix 92.9 for their constant Christmas music every December.

It's very anti-climactic but here goes....

One more....I love watching him learn about the world around him. Everything is new to him so when I find us sitting in silence staring out the window, I remind myself that this is a new experience for him and that he is learning. He is taking notes and making memories for when he needs to access this knowledge one day.

As for bringing the Christmas feel into the house today I made the house smell like winter and I love it.

Cranberries, Orange, Cinnamon Sticks
We got to see the cranky night time Liam again tonight. He isn't quite back on Tennessee time yet.

Yikes
Oh and a new experience for today, I got to shop for a friend's baby shower on Saturday. I haven't been to a baby shower since Liam was born and it is really nice to be on the giving end for a change!

I am passing on what I've found to be my favorites!
We even got to enjoy a romantic dinner by candle light, as our little rested quietly and snug in his bed. We combined efforts for dinner tonight; me on the sweet potatoes and him on the grill. It was magical and delicious and I am really enjoying the off-season!

December Daily 1

So there's this whole December Daily thing I just heard about today. What I gathered about it is that you make a little scrapbook about what you do every day of December to get ready for Christmas and how you celebrate the season. I absolutely love the Christmas season so this was just perfect for me! Instead of making an actual scrapbook <because let's get real, who has time for that> I decided to blog our December Daily. I want to remember everything about Liam being so tiny!

Aunt Carole sent us home with our Christmas gifts. She's so good!

We made it home today from our big Thanksgiving trip.

The distractions Liam loved.

Front seat leftovers.

We received the final pieces of our handmade <by Grandpa> and hand painted <by Aunt Lori> nativity scene today in the mail! I can't wait to put it up in the house! I think I have the perfect spot picked out. Thank you Grandpa and Aunt Lori!

Seeing as it is December now I had to change the paper. I have 3 packs of seasonal 12 x 12 paper and 4 frames that hang in the kitchen that rotates monthly/seasonally.

Liam is discovering his hands and that they can go in his mouth!

My favorite color green.

This was the cranky face we saw <and HEARD!> plenty of this afternoon and evening. Our honeybear is sleeping soundly now and I expect it will be an early morning for this momma! He is sleeping 11 hours at night and I love him dearly for this.

December is off to a great start! We are enjoying being home and I plan on watching my first corny Christmas movie on ABC tonight.

Here's to tonight being a Silent Night....

Our first Thanksgiving

We had our first Thanksgiving as a family of 3!
Liam travels very well as does all the stuff we needed for one baby. He slept very little in the car but was surprisingly not cranky while he was awake. He was a very good backseat partner!
We had to spend an extra day in Bluff City for the snow they got there which made for some beautiful pictures....

Thanks Uncle Bill and Nancy for the beautiful scenery!

Liam slept very well in the pack n play in both Bluff City and in Gettysburg. It was his first big road trip and I am glad we spent two days getting to and from Gettysburg.

He loves rubbing the sheet to soothe himself. I see an eye peeking out!

I love that gummy smile!

His new trick is sitting up on his elbows.

Courtney and Lauren reading to Liam before bed. He loved having so much attention and I appreciated the help!
Liam's first Thanksgiving was a good one! He put up a bit of a fuss this afternoon and tonight which we are hoping is just him adjusting to being back home and getting back on a better sleep schedule. We had a great time spending time with Robbie's dad's side of the family and look forward to this trip every year. There's no place like home though!

Hewwo....? You still there?

It's been a while!! Here's a big ole photo purge for you!

Four generations for Robbie's 30th birthday dinner!

Obviously Liam has taken front and center in the Wilson household lately. We are loving learning about each other and experiencing life at home.

This is my welcome back to the blogging world!
